Recline Mechanisms Explained

Basic Tilt

The entire seat and backrest tilt backward together as one unit. Simple but not ideal for extended recline since the seat angle can push you forward. Found in budget chairs.

Synchro Tilt (2:1 Mechanism)

The backrest reclines at twice the rate of the seat tilt. When the backrest tilts 20°, the seat tilts only 10°. This keeps your feet on the ground and maintains a more natural posture during recline. The Jupiter Superb series uses a 2:1 smart synchro mechanism.

Multi-Lock Synchro Tilt

Backrest Materials

Standard Mesh

Breathable polyester mesh that allows air circulation. The most common choice for Indian offices due to the warm climate. Provides moderate support and is durable for 3–5 years.

Korean Mesh

A premium woven mesh from Korean manufacturers, offering superior elasticity, breathability, and durability compared to standard mesh. Used in Green Soul's Jupiter Pro and Icon Pro models. PU Leather
